Species: Tursiops truncatus (Common Bottlenose Dolphin)

Age: Born in January 1995 (time is permanently frozen in 2017)
Appearance: 8 ft long, 400 lbs. Blue-gray color, darker on back/dorsal and rostrum. Light blue underbelly extends upward and wraps around her peduncle. Cluster of multicolored freckles on both sides of her dorsal. White pectoral flippers and white genital patch. White spot above both eyes. Brown eyes.
Personality: Rocket is a very mellow dolphin, and is also submissive in nature. She's very obedient, but isn't very interactive with humans overall. She'd much rather spend her time with the other dolphins, particularly with Lani, who she has taken under her wing. It seems as though being with the human-loving spotted dolphin has made her more interactive with humans.
She isn't known for overly energetic show performances, but her obedience makes her a reliable performer. Because of that, she is normally used as the trainer-for-a-day program.
History: Rocket was captured off the coast of Florida at age four. She spent no time at a holding facility - she was purchased at the shore by a Florida seaquarium. She remained at the seaquarium in Florida until 2003, when she was sold to the New England Dolphinarium due to overcrowding at the seaquarium in Florida.
At the Dolphinarium, she integrated relatively well with the other dolphins, but is occasionally bullied by the others.
Due to her calm and gentle nature, she was selected to become Lani's companion in 2011. Their introduction has gone better than expected.
In 2014, Rocket gave birth to a male wholphin calf named Dart.
